    Hi, I’m Lauren, the Smile Advisors here at Tooth Doctor.

    I’ve been part of the Pain Free Group for over eight years, bringing with me more than a decade of experience in dental nursing.

    I started my journey with the group as an implant dental nurse before transitioning into my current role as a Smile Advisor. During my time here, I’ve received training in implants, sedation, and Invisalign.

    Outside of work, I enjoy relaxing at home with my partner and our cats, Luna & Leo—but I also love dining out and treating myself to a good cocktail!

    I moved role to Treatment Coordinator in 2018 for the Pain Free Dentistry Group. This has been one of the best things I have ever done, building relationships with patients and finding out about the emotional side from the beginning and growing with the patients along their journey in the practice is fantastic.

    I work with Gerry at the practice, helping to carry out implant and cosmetic treatment to allow patients to have the smile they deserve. I’m qualified in sedation and love to help anxious patients with their treatment.

    I will soon be expanding my skills by going on a phlebotomy course to assist with PRGF socket preservation. The most enjoyable part of my job is seeing the end result for our lovely patients and knowing I’ve helped them along the way.

    I enjoy getting the opportunity to learn from the team and in turn being able to improve my skills and knowledge in dentistry. I will soon be expanding my skills by going on a sedation course. The most enjoyable part of my job is seeing the end result for our lovely patients and knowing I’ve helped them along the way.

    In my spare time I like to spend time with family and friends, also love going on holiday to Turkey.

    Hi I’m Aimee I started here at Tooth Doctor as a trainee Dental Nurse. At The Tooth Doctor, I work alongside Sofia to provide patients with high quality care aimed at improving their smiles, relieving pain and delivering cosmetic and aesthetic treatments. I also support nervous patients, helping them feel comfortable and confident while receiving their dental care.

    I enjoy every aspect of dental nursing, but my favourite part is seeing the positive difference a new smile can make to a patient’s confidence and wellbeing. I also find it especially rewarding to help patients overcome their anxiety about visiting the dental practice.

    Outside of work I enjoy spending quality time with my friends, spending time in the gym and also spending time with my family and dogs.

    Before starting at the Tooth Doctor, I was a Dental Nurse for over 12 years having went to Langside College for 2 years before qualifying.

    After having my 2 children sadly I had to leave dental nursing but now that they are both at school, I have been able to join the Tooth Doctor Team, And I am loving being back in dentistry again. When not at work I love to spend time with my family, reading and binging a good boxset.

    I had implants done by someone else . truthful they were a right old mess .. and i was. really upset when they started chipping …. I went to the tooth doctor in Carluke where Gerry and his staff were really nice and pleasant..     The best thing I've ever done is go to the initial consultation with the Tooth Doctor.I had extremely crooked teeth my entire adult life which I was so embarrassed out. After meeting with Sofia I decided straight away to go ahead with Invisalign treatment. I needed all my appointments to be in the evenings after work which was never a problem. In just under 1 year I now have beautiful straight teeth that I can show off and be proud of. I always recommend the Tooth Doctor to anyone who listens and my daughter has now made an appointment to perfect her smile.     I’ve just completed my treatment at The Tooth Doctor after a few months, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience!Gerry was incredibly patient and kind from the very beginning. He took the time to explain everything clearly, never rushed any part of the process, and showed real attention to detail, he’s truly a perfectionist.     A huge big thank you to the Tooth Doctor for my beautiful new smile.Having a fear of the dentist stopped me seeking early treatment over the years and lead to poor gum and bone health and a smile that i was ashamed and self conscious of.It was a long process to restore my gum health and smile, but Gerry took the process slowly to help me cope with my dentist anxiety. I even felt relaxed enough not to ask for sedation throughout my treatment even with the extractions and implant procedures which was an amazing achievment for me but entirely due to Gerry's understanding of anxiety and expertise in dentistry.Thank you to Gerry, Amy and all the reception staff who looked after me throughout the journey.

The premises are spotless and in my experience always run to time ( a bonus if you are working).Gerry fully explained every step of the process, allowed me to pick my favourite music and constantly checked that I was ok.     Excellent experience at The Tooth Doctor, Carluke. From the first contact through to the final results it was a pleasure to deal with the surgery. I was consulted throughout as to the result I wanted to achieve. I had a missing crown which I wanted to replace. I was given great advice and a range of options and prices to come to a solution. Gerry is a perfectionist which is exactly what you want when trusting someone with your smile. The surgery claims no pain dentistry and I can honestly say for the first time in almost 70yrs it absolutely lived up to the promise!I am delighted with my treatment and the results, I would highly recommend Gerry and the staff at The Tooth Doctor.     I had a bit of a tooth ache got booked very quickly the appointment was from Friday for Monday. Staff are smiley and helpful. The dentist Sofia is lovely very kind and understanding. I'm very stressed out when it comes to a dentist but she helps me manage my stress works fast and gentle you don't feel pain and you don't feel rushed.     Highly recommend. The staff are all lovely, I had most of my appointments with Sofia & Jade. Both are lovely, and Sofia is wonderfully professional, knowledgeable and immediately sets you at ease from the moment you step into the room. I needed a couple of fillings, both times the process was incredibly smooth and I genuinely barely felt a thing. Sofia built my filling up to look and feel like a real tooth, which was a new experience for me. The one filling I'd had before from a previous dentist always felt very smooth and artificial.The dentistry team take great care and attention in everything they do and the later opening hours/appointment system works very well for someone like me who works 6 days a week almost all year round. Can't recommend the Tooth Doctor highly enough!

    5 star dental practice in Carluke with 5 star treatment from start to finish .No pain and a far different experience at tooth Doctor .Just went through an implant process and tooth doctor and Gerry and indeed all the staff were brilliant .Thank youUpdate Oct 2025- next part of process before final stages seen hygienist 2 weeks ago and now ive just completed next part of process As usual Gerry was brilliant and never felt a thing had a choice of extras to make process more comfortable so chose heated eye gel mask makes you feel relaxed while work being done.Next time ill choose dvd Goggles.Ive my final stage in 3 weeks and so far all has went to plan .The staff in the practice are great they're so helpful and efficient nothing is too much trouble. I'd highly recommend this dentist. Thanks Gerry thanks to staff.im looking forward to my implant work being completed.Update 10th November 2025.Just attended for my checkup after the final stage of my double implant work was completed 2 weeks ago. My 2 new teeth are in situ on the implant and I feel great.Everything was as it should be with my checkup today with a final follow up scheduled for January.Its been a fantastic journey Gerry and Aimee and the girls on reception and hygienist have all been absolutely fantastic.The whole process was painless and comfortable throughout. The aftercare has been second to none.You feel really looked after during the whole mplant process and aftetwards and I will definitely be signing up to one of the inclusive dental packages on offer going forward both plans available are well priced .The ladies on reception are so lovely and always do their best to get you a convenient appointment.     As someone who has been terrified of the dentist all my life I can honestly say I wish I found The Tooth Doctor years ago. After reviewing all the dentists I decided to book in with Jane as she has an interest in treating nervous patients. I was all prepared to have sedation at every appointment I was that frightened. I went for my consultation and I was immediately put at ease from the moment I walked in the door. Jane is outstanding, explained everything to me and understood my fears. I had a fair few procedures done and I didn't require sedation for any of it, I honestly can say I never felt a thing!! There was zero judgement from Jane, Jade or anyone.I have now been attending appointments with Kelly the dental hygienist and again everything has been fantastic. Kelly is a magician when it comes to cleaning your teeth and is so friendly.     The service form start to finish was very professional. I lost a tooth due to infection leaving very little bone being advised elsewhere that an implant may not be possible.Gerry the dentist was outstanding and was able to rebuild the bone and place an implant much to my delight.The results of my treatment are amazing and to a very high standard.     I have been a patient at this dental practice for a long time. I always feel comfortable coming here for my dental and hygiene treatment so much so that I travel from Uddingston. The staff are always pleasant and welcoming which makes me feel at ease.

    I hadn't been to the dentist in a long time and I was really anxious about going. However Jane and her assistant made me feel so relaxed and comfortable. Jane advised me what treatment I would need (thankfully not much) and the cost. I'm so glad I pushed myself to go.     I badly needed a new smile which involved quite a bit of work including gum reduction, implants and crowns.     I had my routine appointment last night with Dr Sophia. It really is a testament to her care, professionalism and patience that I drive from Edinburgh to Carluke for my appointments. I always feel safe in her hands and my teeth have never looked so good. I also find Sophia to be firm in delivering messages in regards to your oral are.The whole tooth doctor practice is warm and friendly. I called the practice on Wednesday to pay for my appointment and Lin was her usual bubbly, friendly self. She’s a credit to the reception team.Chloe welcomed me at my appointment again with great care and professionalism. All in all the best dental practice and team in my view.

    I had to have a fairly complex crumbled tooth root extraction, which I must admit I was very worried about, but Gerry and his assistant were excellent and delivered on their 'no pain' commitment. I felt absolutely no pain throughout the extraction even though he had to cut the gum and put stitches in. Even once the anaesthetic had worn off, I still had no pain. Fantastic service, I have no hesitation in recommending The Tooth Doctor and particularly Gerry.

    Gerry and his team of highly skilled staff provide an excellent range of services and high quality care. Gerry made me a bespoke 'splint' (which fits my top row of teeth perfectly) and has solved my night-time grinding problem. This has been absolutely brilliant, it fits really well, feels comfortable and has stopped me grinding my teeth through the night. I'm pain free and have no more jaw ache and headaches.     Gerry & Amy finished off installing a rear lower implant, yesterday.The whole process was much less painful than previous impants, done elsewhere.The use of 3D scanning rather than having to bite into moulding clay, is IMHO a big leap forward.Having had other failed implants before, I'd highly recommend the Tooth Doctor.
