Jane graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2010 and has been a proud member of the Tooth Doctor team in her home town of Carluke since. She loves working in a practice that provides modern high-quality dentistry in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Jane has a particular interest in providing sedation for dental treatment and is passionate about helping anxious patients achieve the smile they want and seeing their confidence about coming to the dentist grow. She completed her sedation training with SAAD in 2012 and has kept up to date with advances in IV sedation with many courses since. Jane also loves transforming smiles with the use of tooth straightening systems. She is qualified in the use of Invisalign, High Speed Braces™ and lingual braces and loves helping patients achieve their smile goals with these treatments.

Jane and her husband Craig are kept very busy with their young son Fox who was born in 2021. He is full of energy and is bringing so much joy to their lives. They also have a border terrier called Zoe who, as their first baby, has taken a bit of time to get used to the new addition to the house but is coming round!

As a family they love going on walks and visiting the park or soft play. Jane and Craig love eating out and trying new cuisines and are particularly fond of Mexican food (and margaritas!). They enjoyed a lot of travelling before Fox came along and are looking forward to family holidays now that Fox is a bit bigger.

In her spare time Jane enjoys keeping fit by attending classes at the gym and running. She also loves music (she is a Harry Styles fanatic!) and watching tennis.

“I have just finished my teeth straightening treatment using the fixed braces. I was very nervous about this option as I’m 39 and I thought I would be incredibly self-conscious. I can honestly say I will never look back, the whole experience was amazing. From my initial consultation with Claire to all my treatment with Jane and Lisa, it’s been an absolute pleasure. I am an extremely anxious person when it comes to going to the dentist.However, from the moment I called the The Tooth Doctor I felt straight at ease. ALL the staff are genuinely lovely people, who always greet you with a lovely welcome making you feel relaxed straight away.As for Sofia and Kirsty, they have been absolutely fantastic. They both show a genuine interest in you as their patient and building a strong relationship to enable you to feel relaxed. They go above and beyond to try ensure your comfortable by providing different relaxation items from eye masks, lip balm etc which you get if your appointment is over 45 minutes long. I am now not terrified to go to the dentist all thanks to them and the care and passion they have in their job.I cannot thank or recommend anyone enough to go to The Tooth Doctor.

I've recently had a tooth implant and crown fitted by Gerry at The Tooth Doctor. I'm delighted with the results and so glad I went ahead with it. As someone who was terrified of the dentist resulting in sleepless nights shaking and fainting in the chair the horror that filled me when a tooth cracked was awful. I’d not been to a dentist since before Covid and was in no rush to go back. I saw the Tooth Doctor advertised and read the reviews and after a few failed attempts of actually me trying to get the courage to book in. I didThe whole experience from sitting in the waiting room to the actual treatment is amazing so friendly nothing is too much trouble and completely pain free. I had to go twice for fillings and the second time no stress no anxiety as the first was such a positive experience. I highly recommend them to anyone especially if you’re scared of the dentist. From start to finish my experience has been excellent!Ive been having treatment with Gerry and Amiee for the past few months and I’am ecstatic with my results. Gerry is a complete perfectionist, every appointment was explained and pain free as guaranteed. Met both Sofia and Kirsty at the end of last year when I started my treatment and I have to say it's been a fabulous and very much a pain free experience the whole way. I don't know anyone that isn't normally anxious going to the dentist but as soon as you walk through the door, you're met by the lovely ladies sitting at reception who make you feel at ease and that continues through your whole appointment. Hi my name is Tracy Morton. I had an appointment with Jane Riley ,to be sedated for work done on my teeth.I was very nervous because of past experience from another dentist. Jane made me feel very relaxed as soon as I walked through the door. I can't believe Jane was able to complete all the work I needed doing, under sedation. I'm over the moon with my front teeth and been able to take my tooth out, with out any pain. Jane and Tyler are very lovely caring people. Gerry has carried out a lot of treatments for me and my family over the years cannot recommend enough. Having suffered with migraines for 20 years Gerry recommended trying a splint which was custom made and this has helped me massively with managing the daily pain. Highly recommend

I was in to get some work done by Sofia and I was offered some complimentary relaxation treatment. I choose to have the heated back massage cushion, while Kirsty applied paraffin hand wax and gloves and an eye mask. I sat back and relaxed while Sofia got on with the job in hand. Great service.Dealt with a number of staff and every single person was caring, helpful and very friendly. Gerry and the girls who assisted him I dealt with the majority of my visits made me feel at ease and done a top class job of the work i required done.I also required a few extra visits as there were a couple of things weren't up to the high standards expected (external lab work, no fault of the clinic). Due to this I was given some complimentary treatment that would have been seperate to this work. I did not expect this and would not have complained about the extra visits so a nice touch.For the type of work I had it was as promised pretty much pain free 😁Thanks again.

Dental implants were a new treatment experience for me but all questions were answered, allowing me to understand what was being done and why.Would recommend for anyone considering using this dental practice.Update: after > a year after implants and some other minor treatments, now on routine dental plan. Had a recent hygienist-visit with Janice & Kirsty and check-up with Gerry. As expected, ongoing care is as good as the initial treatments.
