Teeth Whitening in Carluke: A Clear Guide to Professional Whitening Treatment

Teeth Whitening in Carluke: A Clear Guide to Professional Whitening Treatment

A Brighter Smile Is One of the Most Rewarding Changes You Can Make

Of all the improvements patients consider making to their smile, professional teeth whitening consistently stands out as one of the most satisfying. Not because it produces the most dramatic transformation available in modern dentistry, but because the change it makes is precisely the right kind. Subtle enough to look entirely natural. Significant enough that patients notice it every time they catch a glimpse of their reflection, and that friends and family notice it too, even if they cannot immediately put their finger on what looks different.

For patients in Carluke who have noticed their teeth losing some of their natural brightness over the years, professional whitening at Tooth Doctor offers a safe, effective, and clinically supervised route to a fresher and more confident smile. The process is more straightforward than most patients expect, the results are consistently rewarding, and the experience from first consultation through to final result is a comfortable and well-supported one.

This guide is designed to give you everything you need to know before booking your first appointment, covering what causes teeth to discolour, how professional whitening works, who it is most suitable for, and how to protect your results once treatment is complete.

Patients who would like to explore the treatments available at Tooth Doctor can visit the Tooth Doctor website.

Why Teeth Lose Their Natural Brightness

One of the first things patients often ask when they come to the Tooth Doctor to discuss whitening is why their teeth have changed colour when they look after them so carefully. The answer is both reassuring and useful: tooth discolouration is not primarily a reflection of how well you care for your teeth. It is a consequence of time, exposure, and the natural ageing of the tooth structure, and it affects almost everyone to some degree regardless of their oral hygiene habits.

The outer surface of each tooth is covered by enamel, the hardest substance the human body produces. Despite its extraordinary hardness, enamel has a microscopic surface texture that allows pigmented compounds from food and drink to gradually work their way in and accumulate over months and years. This process is entirely invisible as it happens, which is why discolouration tends to register not as a gradual change but as a sudden realisation that things look noticeably different from how they once did.

The natural ageing of the tooth structure compounds this effect independently of lifestyle choices. As the enamel layer thins over the years, the dentine beneath, which is naturally a darker yellow-brown colour, becomes increasingly visible through it. This contributes to the yellowing or greying that many patients notice from their thirties and forties onwards, and it occurs regardless of dietary habits or how diligently teeth are brushed and flossed.

The most common everyday causes of tooth discolouration include:

  • Tea and coffee, which are consumed daily by most adults in the UK and contain tannins that bind persistently to enamel over time
  • Red wine, whose deeply pigmented compounds adhere readily to the tooth surface and are particularly persistent even in moderate drinkers
  • Dark-coloured foods including berries, tomato-based sauces, balsamic vinegar, and soy sauce
  • Smoking and tobacco use, which produce both surface staining and deeper discolouration that penetrates the enamel
  • The natural ageing process, which affects the brightness of teeth independently of lifestyle or hygiene habits
  • Certain medications that can influence tooth colour from within the structure of the tooth itself

Recognising which of these factors applies most to your situation helps your dentist at Tooth Doctor advise on what whitening can realistically achieve and what habits will best protect your results afterwards.

How Professional Whitening Works at Tooth Doctor

Professional teeth whitening at Tooth Doctor uses clinically approved whitening gels whose active agents work by penetrating the enamel surface and targeting the pigmented compounds responsible for discolouration. The result is a gradual and controlled improvement in the natural brightness of the teeth that looks entirely natural and is safe when carried out correctly under dental supervision.

Two things distinguish professional whitening from over-the-counter alternatives in a meaningful way. The first is the concentration of the active whitening agents, which is considerably higher in professional products and produces results that are correspondingly more noticeable and more consistent. The second is clinical supervision, which ensures the treatment is appropriate for your specific teeth, applied correctly, and adjusted where needed throughout the process to manage any risk of sensitivity or gum irritation.

The whitening process at Tooth Doctor in Carluke typically follows this sequence:

  • An initial consultation to examine your teeth and gums, assess the nature and extent of the discolouration present, and confirm that professional whitening is the right approach for your situation
  • Custom whitening trays made from precise impressions or digital scans of your teeth to ensure an accurate and comfortable fit
  • Professional whitening gel supplied for home use with the trays
  • A gradual brightening process carried out over several days to a few weeks, depending on your starting shade and the degree of improvement you would like to achieve

The custom-fitted trays are worth highlighting specifically because they are so central to the quality of the final result. When the trays fit your teeth precisely, the whitening gel distributes evenly across every tooth surface and maintains consistent contact throughout each wear period. This produces the uniform improvement across the full smile that makes professional whitening results look so natural and so clearly different from the patchy and uneven outcomes that generic poorly fitting trays so often produce.

Who Is Professional Whitening Most Suitable For?

Professional teeth whitening at Tooth Doctor is suitable for most adults in Carluke who are unhappy with the colour of their smile and whose oral health is in good overall condition. It works most effectively for discolouration that has developed gradually over time as a result of diet, lifestyle factors, and the natural ageing process.

Patients who tend to be most satisfied with their whitening results include those who:

  • Have noticed their teeth becoming progressively duller, yellower, or more stained over the years
  • Have visible staining from regular consumption of tea, coffee, or red wine
  • Want to address discolouration caused by smoking or previous tobacco use
  • Are approaching a significant occasion such as a wedding, important birthday, graduation, or professional milestone
  • Simply want their smile to feel as fresh, bright, and confident as the rest of their appearance

A consultation at Tooth Doctor will allow your dentist to assess your individual situation and advise honestly on what whitening can realistically achieve for your specific type of discolouration. It is also worth knowing that professional whitening works on natural tooth enamel and does not alter the colour of dental restorations such as crowns, veneers, or composite fillings. If you have visible restorations in your smile, your dentist will discuss this during the consultation and give you a complete and realistic picture before treatment begins.

Protecting Your Results After Treatment

Professional whitening results are genuinely long-lasting, but they benefit from a few thoughtful habits in the period following treatment and beyond. The same factors that contributed to discolouration before whitening will continue to act on the teeth afterwards, so incorporating some straightforward adjustments into daily routines makes a meaningful difference to how long your brighter smile lasts.

The most effective steps for maintaining your whitening results after treatment at Tooth Doctor include:

  • Brushing twice daily with a fluoride toothpaste to support enamel health and keep the tooth surfaces clean
  • Attending regular dental check-ups at Tooth Doctor to monitor the condition of your teeth over time and catch any changes early
  • Reducing the frequency of staining drinks such as tea, coffee, and red wine, and using a straw where possible to limit their direct contact with the tooth surfaces
  • Avoiding tobacco products, which are among the most significant contributors to re-staining after whitening treatment
  • Arranging periodic top-up whitening treatments at Tooth Doctor when results naturally begin to fade over time, to refresh your brightness and maintain your results

Most patients in Carluke find their whitening results remain clearly noticeable for several months after treatment, and those who adopt consistent protective habits often maintain a noticeably brighter smile for considerably longer.

Teeth Whitening in Carluke FAQs

How does professional whitening at Tooth Doctor differ from shop-bought products?

Shop-bought whitening products, including strips, trays, and toothpastes, use significantly lower concentrations of active whitening agents than professional treatments, and they do not include clinical assessment or supervision. Results are generally modest and less consistent, and there is no professional evaluation to ensure the products are appropriate for your specific teeth. Professional whitening at Tooth Doctor uses higher-strength whitening gels in custom-fitted trays under dental supervision, producing results that are considerably more noticeable, more even across the full smile, and longer lasting than anything available over the counter.

Is professional whitening safe for my enamel?

Yes. Professional whitening carried out correctly using clinically approved products does not damage tooth enamel. The whitening agents used in treatment are formulated to target the pigmented compounds responsible for discolouration without compromising the structural integrity of the enamel itself. The risks associated with enamel damage are linked to overuse or misuse of whitening products without professional guidance, which is precisely why clinical supervision at Tooth Doctor matters.

How soon will I see a difference?

Most patients begin to notice a visible improvement within the first few days of wearing the whitening trays. The full result develops gradually and consistently over the course of the treatment period, which typically spans one to three weeks depending on the starting shade and the degree of brightening being sought. Most patients find that the gradual nature of home whitening produces a particularly natural-looking result that feels entirely appropriate to their smile rather than sudden or stark.

What if I have sensitive teeth?

Sensitivity does not automatically mean whitening is unsuitable for you. Many patients with sensitive teeth are entirely suitable for professional whitening with appropriate adjustments to the whitening gel concentration or wear schedule. Your dentist at Tooth Doctor will assess your sensitivity during the consultation and recommend the most comfortable and effective approach for your individual situation, so that treatment is as straightforward and pleasant as possible throughout.

Can I have whitening if I have dental restorations?

Professional whitening works on natural tooth enamel and does not alter the shade of dental restorations such as crowns, veneers, bridges, or composite fillings. If you have visible restorations in your smile zone, your dentist at Tooth Doctor will discuss this during the consultation and give you an honest assessment of the likely outcome so that you can make a fully informed decision about whether to proceed and what results to expect.

On the day of treatment:

  1. The tooth surface is gently prepared

Porcelain vs Composite Veneers in Carluke | The Tooth Doctor

Porcelain vs Composite Veneers: Which Smile Solution Is Right for You at The Tooth Doctor?

Porcelain vs Composite Veneers – If you’re thinking about enhancing your smile, you’re certainly not alone. At The Tooth Doctor in Carluke, one of the most common questions we hear is:

“Should I choose porcelain or composite veneers?”

Both options can dramatically improve the look of your smile, but each comes with its own advantages depending on your goals, lifestyle, and budget. This guide will help you understand the differences so you can make a confident, informed decision.

What Are Veneers? A Simple Explanation

Veneers are thin, custom-made coverings placed over the front surface of your teeth to enhance their appearance. They’re a popular cosmetic solution for addressing a range of concerns, including:

  • Discolouration or staining

  • Chipped or worn teeth

  • Gaps between teeth

  • Uneven or misshapen teeth

  • Mild alignment issues

At The Tooth Doctor, each veneer is carefully designed to complement your facial features and create a natural, balanced smile.

Porcelain Veneers: A Premium Smile Upgrade

Porcelain veneers are often considered the gold standard in cosmetic dentistry due to their durability and lifelike appearance.

Benefits of Porcelain Veneers

  • Highly natural, enamel-like finish

  • Excellent resistance to staining

  • Long-lasting results (often 10–15+ years)

  • Custom-crafted for a precise, seamless fit

Porcelain mimics the way natural enamel reflects light, making it ideal for patients seeking a refined, long-term smile transformation.

Best For:

  • Patients wanting a long-lasting cosmetic solution

  • Those seeking the most natural-looking result

  • Individuals wanting durability and low maintenance

Composite Veneers: A Flexible and Cost-Effective Alternative

Composite veneers are applied directly to the teeth using tooth-coloured resin and are often completed in a single visit.

Benefits of Composite Veneers

  • More affordable than porcelain veneers

  • Minimal tooth preparation required

  • Faster treatment time

  • Easily repairable if chipped

While composite veneers may not last as long as porcelain, they are an excellent option for patients seeking visible improvements with less commitment.

Best For:

  • Minor cosmetic enhancements

  • Budget-conscious patients

  • Those looking for a reversible or short-term option

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How long do veneers last?

The lifespan of veneers depends on the type chosen and how well they’re cared for.

  • Porcelain veneers typically last 10–15 years or more with good oral hygiene.

  • Composite veneers usually last 5–7 years before needing repair or replacement.
Regular dental check-ups and good daily care can significantly extend their lifespan.

2. Do veneers damage your natural teeth?

When placed correctly by an experienced dentist, veneers do not damage your teeth. Only a small amount of enamel is removed to ensure a secure and natural-looking fit. Composite veneers may require little to no enamel removal at all.

3. Are veneers painful?

The veneer process is generally very comfortable. Most patients experience little to no discomfort, and any sensitivity is usually mild and temporary. Local anaesthetic can be used if needed to ensure you remain comfortable throughout treatment.

4. Can veneers look natural?

Absolutely. Modern veneers are designed to closely mimic the colour, translucency, and texture of natural teeth. When expertly planned and placed, veneers can be virtually indistinguishable from natural enamel.

5. How do I care for my veneers?

Caring for veneers is similar to caring for natural teeth:

  • Brush twice daily with a non-abrasive toothpaste

  • Floss daily

  • Attend regular dental check-ups

  • Avoid biting hard objects (such as ice or pens)

With good care, veneers can remain beautiful for many years.

iTero Digital Scan

At The Tooth Doctor in Carluke, we use advanced iTero scanning technology to create a detailed 3D model of your teeth, no messy impressions required.

See Your Smile Before You Start

Using the scan, we produce a simulation showing how your teeth will move throughout treatment. It’s like looking into a crystal ball, but better.

Step 3 — Approving Your Custom Treatment Plan

Before your aligners are created, you’ll get a chance to look over your tailored plan.

Treatment Timeline Overview

You’ll see:

These tiny, discreet bumps help the aligners grip your teeth more effectively, ensuring precise movement.

Are They Noticeable?

Not at all, they blend seamlessly and are nearly invisible.

Perfection takes time, and sometimes a few extra aligners.

Dental Implants at The Tooth Doctor : Rebuild Your Smile with Confidence

Dental Implants at The Tooth Doctor : Rebuild Your Smile with Confidence

Welcome to our in-depth look at dental implants at The Tooth Doctor, Carluke,  where science, artistry, and patient care converge. If you’re considering how to replace missing teeth, restore function, and regain confidence, this article is your comprehensive guide. We’ll explore everything from what implants are to the unique approach at The Tooth Doctor, plus what to expect before, during, and after treatment.

What Are Dental Implants?

Dental implants are artificial tooth roots, typically made of titanium or zirconia, that are surgically placed into the jaw to support a crown, bridge, or full-arch prosthesis. They fuse with bone through a biological process called osseointegration, acting much like natural tooth roots.

Types of Implants

  • Single-tooth implants – replace one missing tooth

  • Implant-supported bridges – replace multiple adjacent teeth

  • Full-arch implants / All-on-X – restore an entire upper or lower row

Why Choose Dental Implants Over Dentures or Bridges?

Here’s why implants often come out ahead:

  • Bone preservation — implants stimulate the jawbone, preventing resorption

  • Natural function — eat, speak, laugh without slipping or restrictions

  • No harm to adjacent teeth — unlike traditional bridges, you don’t need to grind neighbouring teeth

  • Longevity — with proper care, implants can last decades

  • Confidence and aesthetics — they look, feel, and behave like real teeth

Who Is an Ideal Candidate?

While many people can benefit from implants, ideal candidates typically:

  • Are in good oral and general health

  • Have sufficient bone or can receive bone augmentation

  • Don’t have uncontrolled conditions (e.g. uncontrolled diabetes, heavy smoking)

  • Are committed to oral hygiene and follow-up care

If you’ve been told “you can’t have implants,” The Tooth Doctor often finds tailored solutions via bone grafting, sinus lifts, or alternative protocols.

Why The Tooth Doctor, Carluke?

What sets The Tooth Doctor, Carluke apart?

  • They integrate pain-free dentistry techniques and prioritise patient comfort.
  • They use laser-assisted implant placement, which reduces swelling and speeds healing.
  • They offer a lifetime warranty option on implants.
  • They provide complimentary consultations and digital planning, so you can see your treatment plan before you begin.
  • Their team is well reviewed and acclaimed locally, underscoring trust and quality.

Imagine choosing a dentist not merely on price, but on the promise of care, modern technology, and predictable results.

Our Unique Approach: Gentle Laser Implant Placement

One of the standout features at The Tooth Doctor is their use of Gentle Dental Laser technology for implant placement. Rather than traditional scalpel incisions, this method aims to:

  • Minimise tissue trauma

  • Reduce bleeding and swelling

  • Speed up recovery

  • Enhance patient comfort

That means less downtime and a smoother healing experience for you.

Step-by-Step: The Implant Journey at The Tooth Doctor

Consultation & 3D Imaging

First, you’ll meet with a Smile Advisor and implant surgeon. They’ll:

  • Listen to your concerns and desires
  • Examine your oral health
  • Capture 3D scans or CBCT imaging
  • Explain your options clearly

This is a no-pressure, informative session.

Planning & Digital Design

Using the imaging data, the team digitally plans:

  • The ideal implant position

  • The design of the final crown/bridge

  • Any grafting or augmentation needed

You’ll see the plan before surgery begins.

Implant Placement

On surgery day:

  • Local anaesthetic (or sedation, if necessary) is applied

  • Laser techniques and guided surgical guides ensure precision

  • Implants are placed smoothly

The goal: minimal discomfort, exact placement, and optimal integration.

Healing & Osseointegration

This phase, lasting weeks to months, is when bone grows around the implant. During this time:

  • You’ll follow a soft diet

  • Attend follow-up visits

  • Maintain hygiene

Monitoring ensures the implant is integrating well.

Restoration (Crowns, Bridges, Full Arches)

Once healed:

  • Abutments are placed

  • Final prosthetic teeth are crafted

  • Your new smile is delivered

Now you can eat, talk, and smile with confidence.

Pain Management & Comfort Strategies

Fear of pain often deters people from implants. At The Tooth Doctor:

  • Anaesthetic is warmed, delivered slowly, and complemented by gels.

  • They offer a “comfort menu” (massagers, DVD goggles, etc.) during treatment for anxious patients.

  • Sedation options are available for those who need extra calm.

You’re never left guessing, every step is explained, and comfort is prioritised.

Longevity, Aftercare & Maintenance

An implant isn’t a “set and forget” investment. For long life:

  • Brush and floss around implants daily

  • Use interdental brushes or floss threaders

  • Visit the practice for regular check-ups (2–3 times/year)

  • Avoid tobacco and manage systemic health

Impressively, The Tooth Doctor offers a lifetime warranty option to protect your investment.

Common Risks & How We Minimise Them

While implants are highly successful, risks exist:

  • Infection

  • Implant failure or non-integration

  • Nerve or sinus complications

  • Bone loss around the implant

At The Tooth Doctor, risks are mitigated by:

  • Strict sterilisation and surgical protocols

  • Digital planning and guided placement

  • Laser techniques for minimal tissue stress

  • Close monitoring during healing

Their track record suggests excellent success rates in hundreds of cases.

Costs, Financing & Warranty Options

Cost depends on the number of implants, grafting needs, and prosthetics. The Tooth Doctor:

  • Offers transparent breakdowns before you commit

  • Provides payment plans up to 5 years (subject to status)

  • Offers a 100% money-back guarantee if pain-free promise not met

  • Provides lifetime warranty options on implants

They strive to make treatment accessible to all.

Real Patient Stories & Testimonials

Patient voices speak volumes:

“From initial discussions … I was made to feel at ease … I am delighted with the outcome.”
“They make time … staff are so pleasant … treatment was pain free.” “I genuinely say you can trust this team – they go out of their way to make you comfortable.”

These testimonials reflect real people with real fears, treated with patience and skill.

Comparing Alternatives: What If Implants Aren’t Possible?

If implants are not viable, alternatives include:

  • Bridges (traditional or adhesive)

  • Partial or complete dentures

  • Hybrid prostheses over remaining teeth or implants

These options may suit certain cases, but often come with compromises in comfort or longevity.

How to Prepare Before Your Implant Appointment

  • Maintain excellent oral hygiene

  • Avoid smoking (ideally, quit)

  • Bring any medical history or medications

  • Ask questions ahead of time

  • Arrange transport if sedation is used

Preparation helps you walk in confident and ready.

What to Expect After Surgery

  • Mild swelling or bruising (peaks 24–48h)

  • Soft diet for a few days

  • Prescribed pain relief and antimicrobials

  • Gentle cleaning measures

  • Follow-up visits for checkups

Healing times vary, but laser techniques generally speed recovery.

Questions You Should Ask Your Implant Dentist

  1. What’s your success rate with implants?

  2. Can I see before/after cases you’ve done?

  3. Do you use guided or digital planning?

  4. What happens if the implant fails – do you replace it?

My appointment to have my small filling was met with trepidation as usual. However as soon as I entered the practice the reception team were warm, friendly and welcoming.Dr Sophia came into the reception area to welcome, collect and reassure me. My complimentary cooling eye patches and lip balm were waiting for me. The menu of choices to help relax patients are excellent. The dental nurse supporting Dr Sophia was really lovely and caring. During my treatment Dr Sophia had to remind me to breathe.I’ve got to say my treatment was pain free, quick and carried out with the upmost sensitivity and professionalism. I genuinely would not go anywhere else for my dental treatment. Dr Sophia and the tooth doctor team are the best.Helen Clark

I honestly cannot thank Gerry and Aimee enough for the outstanding treatment and care I received. I required extensive and challenging treatment that only an exceptional practice and Dentist could provide. Having a full mouth of implants was a big decision, but from start to finish, the support and care I received was fantastic. The whole experience was completely pain free, and I always felt reassured and looked after throughout the process. Gerry and Aimee have genuinely given me my smile back, and I couldn’t be happier with the results, their professionalism, kindness and attention to detail have been amazing. I can’t thank them enough for everything they have done. I would highly recommend Gerry, Aimee and the whole team to anyone considering implants or other dental treatments. 💚

I can honestly say that Sofia at the tooth doctor is amazing. I hadn’t been to a dentist in a while and was dreading it.First appointment was a tooth extraction, I did not feel a thing couldn’t believe it was over and done with so quickly.Have had a few treatments with absolutely no pain whatsoever, they really are a pain free dentistry.Sofia listens to what you would like and she 10/10 delivers this.I am over the moon with my treatment, if anyone is dreading to go to the dentist, I recommend Sofia she certainly puts you at ease.

Honestly can't recommend these guys enough...been told for years how painful a root canal is, and to avoid it. I had one recently with Gerry and Aimee and there was literally no pain throughout the entire process. Not a single bit. Amber was super helpful in explaining the whole process and getting a payment setup, as well as putting my mind at ease about everything. I can't stress enough how much easier and just how little stress there is with these guys. The "pain free dentistry" couldn't be any more true.

Being a very anxious patient and not going to the dentist for years. I found the tooth doctor in carluke and was given an appointment with Jane. From our first meeting she put me at ease straight away. She explained there was an option for sedation if need be. I Required root treatment and fillings and a crown. After needing sedation for the first part of my treatment plan, I managed today at my appointment without it. Many many thanks to Jane and Jade for making me feel that I could cope looking after me every step of the way. The results of my treatment have given me confidence to smile again . I'm so grateful. Ten out of ten.Thank you so muchCarol Gosling

I went to this practice needing quite a bit of work done on my teeth. Confidence at an all time low. I had read reviews that made me choose them and choose Gerry and I am so pleased I did :-) he was honestly so helpful and non judgmental that I went with his suggestions on what was the best way forward for me and I am so happy with what his work that I would honestly 100 percent recommend choosing him and the whole tooth doctor team. I booked an emergency appointment, and I was seen that same day. The staff listened to my concerns, and allowed me to be upset/distressed when the procedure happened without making me feel silly.Within 30m, they had a rotten tooth out, and it was overall a good experience. They take time to make sure you aren't in pain, and so far, the healing process has been extremely smooth.Thank you to the team for such empathetic, talented work.

2 old fillings restored and root canal completed…all totally pain free! in such a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. After my dentist retired last year, I was so apprehensive about going to someone else, but Jane was highly recommended…and I’m so happy to have found my new dentist - i trusted her straight away, so patient & kind, explaining everything as you go. Dental nurse Jade, and Jaclyn on reception also a credit to The Tooth Doctor 🌟if you are anxious/worried at all about the dentist, please don’t hesitate to give them a visit! you won’t regret it

Unfortunately due to my medication to help control my Multiple Sclerosis causing dry mouth, even using prescribed toothpaste and mouthwash I lost 9 of my top teeth. My own dentist recommended Gerry when we discussed implants. After contacting The Tooth Doctor I had my free consultation where we discussed my options and I was given a no obligation estimate for my treatment plan.On my 1st apt with Gerry, I was very relaxed about the full process, Gerry explained every detail of my treatment plan. After my bone graft and sinus lift all of which was done without sedation whilst listening to a playlist of my choice, I healed and then underwent my implant surgery. Once again healed and finally after a longer time than expected due to health issues with my MS, I finally got my implants fitted and they look amazing and I have regained my confidence to have a full smile and not have to worry about the issues that wearing a plate brings to your day to day living.Everyone has commented on how natural they look.Gerry and his team are amazing and make you feel so welcome and truly adhere to their moto of pain free dentistry.

I honestly couldn’t be happier with my experience at The Tooth Doctor, especially with my dentist Sofia. From start to finish, everything was spot on.I had been to a few different dentists before this and always struggled to get appointments that worked around my job, which was really frustrating. Sofia and the team were completely different — every appointment was arranged at times that actually suited my work schedule, which made a massive difference.I’m really happy with the results and feel much more confident smiling now.Sofia was professional, friendly, and explained everything clearly throughout the process, which put me at ease straight away.Couldn’t recommend The Tooth Doctor enough

The best thing I've ever done is go to the initial consultation with the Tooth Doctor.I had extremely crooked teeth my entire adult life which I was so embarrassed out. After meeting with Sofia I decided straight away to go ahead with Invisalign treatment. I needed all my appointments to be in the evenings after work which was never a problem. In just under 1 year I now have beautiful straight teeth that I can show off and be proud of. I always recommend the Tooth Doctor to anyone who listens and my daughter has now made an appointment to perfect her smile. I am so grateful to Sofia and Aimee for all their hard work and giving me my smile back!

I’ve just completed my treatment at The Tooth Doctor after a few months, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience!Gerry was incredibly patient and kind from the very beginning. He took the time to explain everything clearly, never rushed any part of the process, and showed real attention to detail, he’s truly a perfectionist. Throughout each procedure, he constantly made sure I was comfortable and at ease.I had been putting off going to the dentist for years due to nerves, but I honestly wish I had done this sooner. The environment is completely non judgmental, which made such a difference for me. Even better, the whole treatment and healing process was pain free 🤩.A special mention to Kelly, the dental hygienist, who was absolutely amazing. I never thought I’d describe a hygiene appointment as pleasant, but she completely changed my perspective!A big thank you as well to all the dental nurses and receptionists, who were always so friendly, welcoming, and helpful at every visit which really made the whole experience even better.Thank you all so much 🙏

A huge big thank you to the Tooth Doctor for my beautiful new smile.Having a fear of the dentist stopped me seeking early treatment over the years and lead to poor gum and bone health and a smile that i was ashamed and self conscious of.It was a long process to restore my gum health and smile, but Gerry took the process slowly to help me cope with my dentist anxiety. I even felt relaxed enough not to ask for sedation throughout my treatment even with the extractions and implant procedures which was an amazing achievment for me but entirely due to Gerry's understanding of anxiety and expertise in dentistry.Thank you to Gerry, Amy and all the reception staff who looked after me throughout the journey.

Excellent experience at The Tooth Doctor, Carluke. From the first contact through to the final results it was a pleasure to deal with the surgery. I was consulted throughout as to the result I wanted to achieve. I had a missing crown which I wanted to replace. I was given great advice and a range of options and prices to come to a solution. Gerry is a perfectionist which is exactly what you want when trusting someone with your smile. The surgery claims no pain dentistry and I can honestly say for the first time in almost 70yrs it absolutely lived up to the promise!I am delighted with my treatment and the results, I would highly recommend Gerry and the staff at The Tooth Doctor. Highly recommend. The staff are all lovely, I had most of my appointments with Sofia & Jade. Both are lovely, and Sofia is wonderfully professional, knowledgeable and immediately sets you at ease from the moment you step into the room. I needed a couple of fillings, both times the process was incredibly smooth and I genuinely barely felt a thing. Sofia built my filling up to look and feel like a real tooth, which was a new experience for me. The one filling I'd had before from a previous dentist always felt very smooth and artificial. The dentistry team take great care and attention in everything they do and the later opening hours/appointment system works very well for someone like me who works 6 days a week almost all year round. Can't recommend the Tooth Doctor highly enough!
